This is the invite that has been sent out to press over the last few days inviting them to an unpacked event at the IFA trade show in Germany at the end of August, much speculation abounded on the inclusion of the stylus in the graphic on the invitation and conclusions were drawn that the Galaxy Note 2 was to be announced, now a Samsung spokesperson has confirmed it to a Reuters reporter who advised :

We plan to unveil the next Galaxy Note at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin on August 29

Rumours have been out there for a while on the hardware specs, one rumour suggests it will have a 5.5-inch display at 1680×1050 resolution WSXGA+ screen @ 360ppi with a Super AMOLED screen that will be Pentile, it may be running an Exynos 5250 chipset with 1.5GB RAM and an 8 MP Camera and 4G/LTE a standard on all international handsets other rumours suggest an upgraded camera and also the possibility of a flexible display.

The Samsung Unpacked event is scheduled to occur 2 days prior to the opening of IFA which opens on the 31st of August and runs for a week, the Samsung event is on the 29th of August at 7pm in Berlin which equates to 3am AEST on the 30th of August, it will also be live-streamed on the SamsungMobile Facebook page.
