A few weeks back we announced that Mobicity were taking pre-orders for the new Samsung Galaxy Note II. It seems they now have them in stock available for purchase, well ahead of their expected date of October 16th. Interestingly, the date isn’t the only change from when we previously reported on this. The listed price is now $829, $20 lower than at the time of pre-order and with free shipping at the moment.
Sporting a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor, 2GB RAM, a 5.5″ Super AMOLED display @ 1280 x 720 and newer S pen technology, the Samsung Galaxy Note II has received vast hardware improvements across the board from it’s predecessor and now also ships with Jelly Bean out of the box.
We do plan to get our hands on one ourselves and will be reviewing it once it arrives.
Amazing features that half the reviewers miss: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOX3HYDwTCY
That video was made available after I wrote the article. We’ll be doing a full review soon. The new multi window interface looks slick!
BUT and it’s a BIG BUT, are they compatible with Australia’s 4G networks, that is the question?
And the answer is NO.
Better to wait for the official release which by all accounts will be.
It really won’t work on the AU 4G networks? That sucks.
How do you know it won’t work on Australian 4G networks? And if that’s the case, then the article should be updated.
In other words it’s not an LTE phone right?! Just like the SGS3 we are gonna need to wait a few months for it.
