As well as it’s smaller brethren the Nexus 10 is now showing tantalisingly on the Google Play Devices section of the Google Play Store as ‘Coming Soon’. The 10″ tablet which Vic Gundotra has already been using on his holiday is available for the general public to register their interest in, in either 16GB or 32GB variations by entering their email address to be notified when available, although the page has just updated to an available date of November 13th to match the Nexus 4. The 16GB in Wi-Fi will cost $469 whilst the 32GB in Wi-Fi will cost $569 with shipping an additional cost, no word yet on if the shipping price will be higher due to the larger size but on the Nexus 7 you will pay $19.99 extra for shipping.

Specifications for the Nexus 10 :

  • 10.055″ Screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 @ 2560×1600 Resolution(300PPI)
  • Dual-Core A15 CPU
  • Mali T604 GPU
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16/32GB Storage Options. No storage expansion listed.

  • Android 4.2
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • 9000mAh Li-Po battery
  • 263.9×177.6×8.9 mm @ 603grams

Android 4.2 is confirmed however unlike the Nexus 4 there are no dates available for when the tablet will be available for either order or shipping. The Nexus 10 page also spruiks the benefits of the Advanced MIMO WiFi which it advises will give you ‘accelerated page loading give you web browsing speeds up to 4x faster* than normal WiFi’.

The Screen on this thing at 2560×1600 at 300ppi certainly gives the iPad 3 a run for its money stealing the so-called retina display crown as far as that goes in the tablet realm. With full 1080P HD Resolution you can watch your HD movies in all their glory.

Head over and register your interest in either the 16GB or 32GB variants of the Nexus 10 on the Google Play Devices section of the Google Play Store.

Nice one. I might pick one up from Officeworks and see if I can get it cheaper.

what is the 70 dollar price premium for? I hate the idea of us having to pay extra for everything for no reason other than not being in america.

if you take tax into account in the usa, it isnt that big. 400*108%=$432. Take GST off here and it is 426. Both + postage. So it actually isn’t that different.
