Men’s health is something that is near and dear to everyone’s heart, but never in the forefront of our minds. Movember is a way of changing that, even if it’s only for one month every year. The Movember Foundation was initially launched in Australia and NZ in 2004 and has since expanded into 10 more countries raising millions of dollars every year for a very worthy cause, focusing on mens health issues such as prostate cancer and depression. This year they have launched an Android App that is available now in the Google Play Store.
This year, rolling with the technological times, Movember have released an app for participants to track their progress with donations and also update their Mo-Bro profile as well as supplying a style guide to give you something to aim for. If you are interested in participating in Movember yourself, you can also register directly from the application. While the Play Store version is a relatively obvious iOS port and not stable on all phones, it’s not a bad first effort. It’s a wonderful addition to the Movember arsenal enabling increased connectivity to the Mo-Bro’s and Mo-Sista’s out there. It’s available to devices running Android 2.2 and upwards and is an 11MB download.
If you’re involved in Movember take a look at their app on the Play Store or if not, please think of your Father, Brother, Partner or Friends who may have or may need treatment for one of these important mens health issues and donate generously.
For anyone caught in the moment you can donate to my Movember efforts: HERE.
Ed: Ausdroid will be donating $50 to any of our team members who participate in Movember, and we promise to bring you updates throughout the month.
If you’d like to support our guys, you can donate directly via their page, or via our corporate PayPal. Any funds we receive will be publicly acknowledged, and donated amongst participating Ausdroid Movember players. See the sidebar widget for more info on doing this. -Chris and the Ausdroid Pty Ltd executive.

It would have been great if you could collect donations straight from the app. So many people generally want to throw cash at me for a donation, via the app with the CC or PayPal details would be so much easier.
