If you have the 4.2 version of Android installed on your Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 or if you have received your Nexus 4 and have recently tried to add a new event to a person in the people app that occurs in December you would be familiar with the above screenshot which shows December missing. Google has finally acknowledged the bug on which does not affect the calendar app and has advised that it will be ‘fixed soon’.
The acknowledgement appeared in the Android Google+ stream this morning :
We discovered a bug in the Android 4.2 update, which makes it impossible to enter December events in optional fields of the People app (this bug did not affect Calendar). Rest assured, this will be fixed soon so that those of you with December birthdays and anniversaries won’t be forgotten by your friends and family.
So this is probably getting a little more important given that we’re coming up to December. Good on Google for acknowledging it, but the bug was reported on November 17th so we’ve had nigh on four days of wondering about it, perhaps a little quicker to at least acknowledge it next time Google.
Google stole Christmas!
Yes, this is old news. The Bluetooth issues are more concerning.
