New Nexus 7 - Pic

Although the newly released Nexus 7 is already running the latest version of Android in the form of 4.3 Jelly Bean, a build number — KRS36B — for the Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 has been spotted on the Chromium bug tracker.

For those playing along at home, the latest build number for Android 4.3 on the Nexus 7 is JSS15J, and it’s JWR66V on the Nexus 4 — not a ‘k’ to be seen.

There is nothing else within the bug post to enlighten us with what Key Lime Pie has to offer. But with development on the next major version of Android already in the works, we’re excited to see what it will become.

So it would seem that Android 4.x Jelly Bean has run its course with Android 5.x Key Lime Pie ready to take the reins in what we hope is the near future.

Update :
It appears that Google has now removed this from the Chrome bug tracker, but we did take a screenshot :

Another big question is: Is it worth buying a Nexus 4 now or wait for the next one??

Daniel Tyson

While I love my Nexus 4 – apart from the small breakages on front and back glass – I personally would recommend waiting for the next Nexus phone.

To give you an idea of time frame for launch on a new Nexus – for the last two years they (Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4) have been announced in October and released in November.

So me, I would personally wait. Hope that helps.

Ok so next big question is: Am I prepared to buy the Nexus 4 only to sell it and buy a Nexus 5 just a few months later!!

… I’m an Android addict… I have a problem.

KeePeeR

we are ready 😛

I would like to see nexus x running on Android 5.0

Daniel Tyson

Aha, I see what you did there.

vijay alapati

Yep but it would be awesome if nexus x is 5″ 🙂

George Lu

so it would be 5″ Nexus 5 running on Android 5.0. 🙂

David Anderton

I believe it would be the Nexus V

TT

David Anderton

Would be a great time to tie in with a Nexus 5 launch in a few months time 😉
