Optus HTC One owners can now join their fellow owners on Telsra and Vodafone with Optus today advising that the Android 4.2.2 update is now rolling out over the air to the HTC One.
Great news for our HTC One customers – Android 4.2.2 now avail over the air. Heaps of new features, like Instagram now thru HTC BlinkFeed!

The Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One includes a whole slew of updates, including :
- Launcher Bar Enhancement
- Widget panel rearrangement
- New lock screen style and widget
- Enhanced home button behaviour
- home button options added to make navigation menu bar removable
- Show battery level in the status bar
- Quick settings panel:12 default settings by new touch gesture
- AE/AF lock feature: Lock Exposure/Focus on view finder screen
Previous updates from Vodafone and Telstra came in the form of two updates, a small update to prepare the phone and then a full update to Android 4.2.2.
I had actually thought that this update had rolled out to Optus customers based on comments in previous posts on the subject but obviously not. Sing out in the comments if your Optus branded HTC One handset has received this update already or if you just received it today.
Yes, even VM One’s received this ages ago.
Yes. This came out for Optus HTC One’s at least a month ago…
Yes indeed – this came out awhile back…..
I have to agree with you Tyson, this update went out quite a while ago. I’ve got a HTC One on Optus and it was updated a loooooong time ago.
Thank goodness, thought I was going insane.
The 4.2.2 update for the HTC One rolled out for Telstra, Optus and unbranded phones on August 1st, over a month ago.
3 weeks after that on August 21st, I believe Vodafone customers got the update.
Pretty much everyone who bought the One in Australia has had the update available to them for a while now.
As mentioned by other posters, this is old, and I’m unsure why Optus would tweet it 5 weeks after release.
