Apparently the relationship between Google and Nestlé is pretty tight, with the German arm of the Swiss based multinational food and beverage company advising a Facebook fan of their page that the release for Android 4.4 is expected in October.
The response – ‘Hi Tim, Android 4.4 KIT KAT ist ab Oktober verfügbar.’ Translates to – ‘Hi Tim, Android 4.4 KIT KAT is available in October’.
Of course, further down the page, they answer slightly differently to another user – ‘Android 4.4 KIT KAT wird im Oktober erwartet’. Which translates to ‘Android 4.4 KIT KAT is expected in October.’ And they do finally advise a fan to ask Google Directly if the release will be in early or late October
The October release date is not the least bit unexpected, our source indicates that the announcement is set for October 14th and the whole October announcement marries up with the last two announcements of a new Nexus Phone which has in turn coincided with the launch of a new version of the OS.
While it could just boil down to Nestlé announcing that their Android package themed Kit Kat bars will be available in October – as is the case in Australia – the close relationship between the company for the launch of Kit Kat could actually mean there’s something to this.
