Motorola is launching their upcoming Moto G with a live streaming event next Thursday night/Friday morning from São Paulo Brazil. The Moto G is presumably, Motorola’s mid range – mid price phone that they plan on releasing much more widely than their previous phone – the Moto X, which is only available in the Americas.
We don’t know much about the G yet, some specifications that have leaked out are:
- 1.2GHz Qualcomm Quad-Core Processor
- 4.5″ 1280x720P edge to edge HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass
- 8GB Storage
- 5MP Rear Camera with 1.3MP Front-Facing camera – 720P Video @30fps
- Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS
- Quad Band, HSPA+
- Android 4.3
- Long life battery
At this stage we don’t even know if Australia will get a release of the Moto G, but the indications are good that it will, with Motorola specifically including a G’Day in the announcement for the Moto G save the date announcement on Twitter. It’s more than 13 months since the last Motorola device was launched here, and we do hope that Australia will be able to welcome Motorola devices back to our shores soon.
You can RSVP for the Global Livestream on the Moto G events page of Google+. The time of the event is 13 November at 9am EST, which for Australians is next Wednesday night or Thursday morning at:
