ACF Staff 2

Last night in Melbourne, Daniel, Jason and I attended the inaugural fundraiser for the Eli Hayes Healey Foundation, which is run / administered by the Ausdroid Community Foundation.

After a few months of planning and organising, the night was finally upon us, and as you can see above, we suited up for the occasion, and even stood in front of a camera for posterity. The night was a huge success with over 230 attendees, numerous charity auction items, and ample food and refreshment. We enjoyed meeting and speaking to some of the distinguished guests, and did our little part to make sure everyone had a good night, and that the foundation received maximum benefit.

Although it’s to soon to be sure, early estimates are that the fundraiser evening has raised in excess of $25,000 for the Eli Hayes Healey Foundation, which we look forward to putting to good use in the coming months ahead. No doubt, we’ll be looking at further fundraising activities as well, including raffles and other opportunities for our wonderful Ausdroid community to get involved.

If you’d like to read more about what we’re aiming to do, and how we’re aiming to do it, please check out the Ausdroid Community Foundation website, and the EHHF page. It’s updated a little less frequently, but all the key information is there.

A big thanks to all of you who’ve supported us so far, and we look forward to continuing to work with you all in the future. Of course, ACF is just one thing that we do, and our core focus on building Ausdroid remains strong.
