Google introduced Info Cards to the Android Play Movies app a few months ago now, but as the service feature was limited to people living within the US, it was something that we (and others worldwide) were waiting with baited breath to come to every Android user.
Well it seems that Google has updated the service so Android users here in Australia can now use Info Cards within the Play Movies app as well.
What this means for Australian Play Movies users it that they will be able to pause any video they are watching and simply learn the filmography of the characters and actors within the movie they are watching. Simply put, it saves having to pause, load up Chrome and having the need to head over IMDB. You can see how this works in the picture above. It’s pretty neat.
If you haven’t got the update yet, head over to the Play Store to get the latest update for Play Movies.
Would you use the Info Cards function within Play Movies or are you already using it? We would like to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
Gee great way to change your article from one based on UK once you realised it’d been live in Australia for a few days. As well as not post my comment…
more baited breath. You should see a doctor about that 😉
