When Samsung announced the new Galaxy Tab S range a little while ago, we knew it wouldn’t be long before they’d be available on a range of carrier repayment plans, and it seems that Optus has done just that today.
Jason went hands on with a pre-release version of the 10.5″ variant of the Galaxy Tab S earlier in July 2014, and seemed to be pretty impressed with it.
What makes the Tab S range so cool?
This range is slim and light, reminiscent of the iPad Air. Power in a thin case. Multi-window functionality allows you to use more than one app at a time (as you would on a desktop), while SlideSync allows ready synchronisation of data, browser windows and more between your tablet and compatible Samsung smartphone. While an official launch announcement from Samsung is forthcoming, Optus have gone right ahead and launched some pretty competitive pricing today. You can see the primary pricing above:
- Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, from $26 per month
- Galaxy Tab S 8.4, from $29 per month
- Galaxy Tab S 10.5, from $33 per month
Do note, though, that this pricing includes only 100MB of data, which isn’t a great deal. Add another $15 to those prices, and you’re looking at 1.5GB per month, or for $25 more, you get 4GB of data which is pretty competitive.
