Welcome to episode 119 of the Ausdroid podcast!

This week’s podcast was graced with the presence of an extra voice, coming to us from the USA – Evan Blass, perhaps better known as @evleaks to the Internet at large. We managed to get past the language barrier and found we could all understand each other pretty well, then spent a while talking with Evan about his work and some rumoured upcoming devices. It seems that Samsung and Sony have new phones coming, and Motorola might have a NEXS device coming (hopefully you’ll all see what I did there).

Evan suffers from Multiple Sclerosis, and we were all pretty amazed and humbled to hear what he goes through on a daily basis. MS is a debilitating disease for which there is currently no cure, so funding research for treatments is extremely important. To donate in Australia, visit MS Australia, or in the USA go to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Beyond that, there are organisations in a number of countries worldwide. If you appreciate what Evan does, and his appearance on the Ausdroid Podcast, please make a donation to help fund MS research.

With Jason Murray, Dan Tyson and Phil Tann and special guest Evan Blass.

Ausdroid thanks Evan for his time participating in the episode.

Before discovering the Nexus One, Jason thought he didn't need a smartphone. Now he can't bear to be without his Android phone. Jason hails from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane depending on his mood and how detailed a history you'd like. A web developer by day with an interest in consumer gadgets and electronics, he also enjoys reading comics and has a worryingly large collection of Transformers figures. He'd like to think he's a gamer, but his Wii has been in a box since he moved to Sydney, and his PlayStation Vita collection is quite lacking. Most mornings you'll find him tilting at various windmills on Twitter - follow @JM77 and say hi!

Never had any issues with my mega bending in my pocket, poking me etc etc. If you have man sized jeans it will fit with no issues and no discomfort, for me at least. I’m sure it would be an issue if you had skinny jeans or were a female, but then if your a female you are probably putting your phone in a handbag anyway
