HTC has begun seeding their Android 4.4.3 update to HTC One (M7) handsets within Australia and the first carrier off the rank is Telstra.
The firmware version being seeded is 6.11.841.7 at a total size of 551.45MB, so probably best downloading the update via WiFi. The firmware update, which is Android 4.4.3 brings along a few updates including:
- Android 4.4.3 Firmware
- OpenSSL Security improvements
- Application updates for the Camera, Gallery & Sync Manager
If you haven’t received a notification advising you of this new update, you can go to Settings > About Device > Software update > Check for updates.
While Telstra handsets are receiving the update, Optus owners may have a while to wait, with Optus not even listing the Android 4.4.3 update on their software update page. Vodafone however has tested the update and advised the status of the update as: ‘Issue found during testing, awaiting feedback from HTC.’ in their latest software update blog.
We love hearing about updates so feel free to let us know when your phone begins receiving the update.
Have you downloaded the Android 4.4.3 update for your HTC One M7? If you so have you found any changes or noticed any big changes?
Anyone by chance of a downloaded version of this ROM to flash manually – that is for Voda M7
Update came through a couple of days ago and can’t say I’ve seen any difference
