The lead up to MWC has seen Samsung throwing out hints about what’s likely to be shown off on the 1st of March, with rumours circulating that a Galaxy S6 variant with curved screens possibly named the Galaxy S6 Edge will be announced. US based Carrier T-Mobile has thrown fuel on that particular fire by showing off the image above.
The T-Mobile tease sits atop a page which allows customers to sign up to receive information about the phone once announced, with the slogan tantalisingly saying ‘The Next Big Thing is Almost Here’. T-Mobile CEO John Legere has further confirmed that T-Mobile will carry Samsung’s ‘Next Big Thing’ (as if they wouldn’t).
We’ll know more about ‘The Next Galaxy’ when Samsung officially shows it off next week in Spain.
Do you think Samsung will release one or two phones?
On the S5 the notification light is bright enough, I would have to cover the S6 up on the bed side table at night when charging, as I can just turn my S5 over. Although the edge display would be a better deal then the floating toolbox.
They should only release one phone, a Galaxy S6 with curves. It’s a point of differentiation. #betogethernotthesame
Just a wild guess here, but if the S6 has an edge display that light up red edge looks as if it could be a notification light.
Would be cool if it was a notification light, but I think that it’s T-Mobile getting in their trademarked Magenta colour, so that US customers know that it’s a T-Mo ad straight away.
I thought that too. Oh well, we’ll find out soon.
