Its been a while since we reported or even saw the Polaroid Socialmatic camera, but it appears the camera has just launched in Australia with Myer listing the all-in-one digital Polaroid in their Fathers Day catalogue for $499.
The camera, which was originally announced at CES 2014, that’s right a year and a half ago, went on sale in January this year on the Polaroid website after fairly significant delays, now it’s hit retail.
The spec list for the Polaroid Socialmatic include:
- 4.5-inch LCD touchscreen
- 4GB of storage – can be expanded via microSD card to 32GB
- 14 MP rear facing camera – 2MP front facing
- Wifi, Bluetooth & GPS
- Remote Printing Capabilities
- ZINK Zero Ink printing technology
- 2″x3″ Zink Instant Filters feature a sticky back for easy posting on most surfaces
- Rechargeable lithium-ion battery
The camera is available in both Black and White and has been advertised for $499 within the catalogue, however checking the Myer site today, both versions were on sale for $424.15.
Of course if you miss out on the Myer sale price, you can always order the camera from the Polaroid website for $499.95 + Postage.
