Samsung 2
Samsung is the official Wireless Communications Equipment partner for the 2016 Olympics which kicks off in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on August 5th. The company as part of the deal looks to be creating an Olympic themed phone for the event.

The Olympic themed phone hasn’t been released, announced, or even acknowledged by Samsung as yet, but it appears it’s legit from this pic shown off by noted internet leaker Evan Blass through his @evleaks Twitter account. The phone has the familiar Olympic rings embossed on the back, as well as what appears could be an Olympic ring theme installed on the phone.
Galaxy S7 Edge - Olympic

This isn’t the first themed Galaxy S7 Edge we’ve seen from Samsung, the previous Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice edition was officially announced last month. The Olympic edition Galaxy S7 Edge does seem to share some familiar features as the Injustice edition, with gold highlights around the home menu/fingerprint scanner and the gold coloured earpiece.

The availability of the handset would most likely be limited, just like the Injustice edition of the phone, but we’ll know more when it’s made official. With a little under 2 months until the Olympic cauldron is lit at the Olympic stadium in Brazil signifying the start of the 2016 games, we’ll surely see something announced on the phone in the coming weeks.

Would you purchase an Olympic themed Galaxy S7 Edge?

Samsung really do have their hands in everything. It’s crazy how much power these big corps have.
