After the leaked Sony Xperia X Compact appeared on Twitter last night thanks to @evleaks, Sony’s Czech Republic site betrayed themselves, offering up a listing for the Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact.
There’s not a lot to the leak, just a name. There’s no mention of the Xperia XR which has previously been talked about and even leaked, so possibly the Xperia XZ is the XR by another name, or another phone in the new line set to be announced at IFA early next month.
The Xperia X Compact is set to make a return, and though no specs have been leaked as yet, there’s plenty of support for a smaller form factor device with top of the line specs. The phone itself looks pretty great.

Sony’s IFA press announcements take place on the 1st of September in Berlin at 10:30pm AEST – we haven’t seen a live stream announcement for their presser as yet, but we’ll be keeping a close eye out.
