With the impending launch of the P10 and P10 Plus, Huawei has announced they’re extending their screen replacement promise to all their top tier smartphones.
The smartphone promise is a 3 month guarantee offering a replacement screen on their premiums smartphone range, which includes the Huawei P10, Huawei P10 Plus and Huawei Mate 9, if broken within the first 3 months. This includes damage to the screen suffers that is not covered by the Consumer Product Warranty, with Huawei promising that they will replace the screen free of charge.
There’s a few caveats, there’s only one screen replacement on offer, so if you’re a repeat offender you’re out of luck. You’ll also need to ensure your device is backed up, as Huawei could potentially, if they deem it necessary, replace the device – with the other possibility that they may wipe the device.
You’ll need your proof of purchase to claim the replacement screen offer, but it’s as easy as pie to claim a replacement screen. Just login to the Huawei web portal, select the screen promise option and follow the instructions provided – you’ll need your IMEI which is written on the box if your screen is too cracked to read. Once registered, Huawei will collect the device and either repair the screen, or replace the phone within 3-5 working days.
Huawei first introduced the screen replacement promise with the launch of the Huawei P8 back in 2015. It’s been a deciding factor for a number of users, especially any user who has previously cracked a screen.
If this sounds like a great deal the Mate 9 is currently on-sale, while the Huawei P10 is currently available for pre-order, with both the P10 and P10 Plus available for purchase from May 25.
I purchased a y6 2018 about 3 weeks ago. The screen has small breakage due to it falling out of my top pocket. Am i eligble for a free replacement?
