It isn’t just Vodafone making with the incredible end of financial year offers on mobile services; Optus also has some pretty decent offers this June, including 25% off plan fees on 12- and 24- month contracts — with a small catch.
Provided you can find an existing Optus customer to ‘refer’ you (or, provided you can find a valid referral link on OzBargain), you can sign up online-only to 12 month SIM-only plans, or 24 month phone plans, with 25% off plan fees for up to two years.

There’s also options for 25% off month-by-month plans, though the data inclusions are a little less generous. There’s 25% off phone plans too, but there’s a number of variations to list depending on what handset you choose etc.

From what we can tell, to take advantage of these offers you need to sign up online; it’s unclear whether these offers would be available in store (or, if they are, they’re almost certainly less generous in data terms).
Now we just have to wait and see if Telstra will offer any end of financial year deals.
Incidentally, they’re also doing double-data on their $70 mobile broadband plan, giving you 100GB per month.
