Google have often been criticised for the lack of accessories they have made available for their phones and devices. Today they have looked to address that with the Made For Google program.
The Made For Google program includes most of the big name manufacturers including Incipio, Anker, Belkin, dbrand and more. Made For Google is a certification program for third party accessories and allows you to make sure that what you use with your Pixel device is up to a certain standard that Google specify. At this stage there are 252 Pixel accessories in the Made For Google program.

Included in the program already are the official accessories available for the Pixel 2 phones which include a Google Earth Live Case, a dual-layer fabric case (both cases are Active Edge compatible), the Google Pixel Buds as seen earlier today, the usual USB-C cables and a wall charger. Also available is a USB-C digital to 3.5mm headphone adaptor which is also included in the box with your Pixel 2 phone.
The prices are not cheap, as Google accessories never are, and in Australian dollars are as follows:
- Google Earth Live Case $69
- Pixel 2 fabric Case $59
- Google Pixel Buds $249
- USB-C Digital to 3.5 mm headphone adapter $25
- 18W USB-C Power Adapter $59
- USB-C to USB-C Cable from $39
- USB-C to USB-A Cable $30
The accessories are on the store now for you to buy or pre-order. There is apparently free delivery on all orders so you can order at any time and not have to pay another shipping charge.
Head on over to the Google Store and check them out. What will you be decking your Pixel 2 phone out in?
