Data: everyone wants more of it and it is something that you can never have enough of. Today Optus are doubling down on the data caps in some of their plans for a limited time.

The offer is available on “selected My Plan Plus handset plans and selected Mobile Broadband plans while continuing to offer double data on selected My Plan Flex leasing plans and selected SIM only plans.”

Samsung Galaxy S9

Coinciding with the release of the Samsung Galaxy S9 Optus is offering it on the lease plan My Plan Flex for $85 a month with no handset fees and 32GB of monthly data. The plan is a 24 month plan but the leasing plans do offer relatively easy handset upgrade options if a two year contract is an issue. This offer is available until the 15th April, 2018. For more handset options and plans check out the Optus website.

Mobile Broadband

Optus are also doubling the available data on select Mobile Broadband plans: month-to-month or 24 month plans. 50GB a month will set you back $50 per month and $70 per month will give you a massive 200GB a month. These offers are available until the 2nd of April only.

SIM Only

For those who prefer to buy their phone elsewhere Optus are also doubling down on their SIM only plans. A $40 per month, 12 month SIM only plan will give you a decent 30GB of data whereas a $60 a month SIM only plan will net you a whopping 100GB of data. These offers are only available online or via telesales until 25th March 2018.

For more information on the new plans head over to the Optus website and check them out.

We seem to report on the carriers offering up more and more data each week. Do we have enough data yet? How much do you need?

But then I think, heck, I doubt I could ever use 100GB of mobile data (I have fast fibre at home) so for… Read more »

My wife joined a plan just last month and asked Optus if she could be switched to the doubled data plan, but she wasn’t allowed.
