The list of Google Assistant apps is growing, and Australian businesses are slowly jumping on board. The latest is Australian finance, insurance, and banking corporation Suncorp, who’ve added their app to the Assistant.
The app is available on all the usual places you can access the Google Assistant, including Android 6.0+ TVs, Google Home speakers and of course Android 6.0+ phones, iOS 10.0+ devices and some (well, one) Chromebooks. To activate the Suncorp Google Assistant app you can simply say ‘Talk to Suncorp.
The app is fairly basic with functionality limited to a few basic queries. The app simply gives you some basic answers about Suncorps various business functions including Banking, Superannuation, Insurance and Suncorp Group themselves.
It’s likely that Suncorp will add more functionality to the app in the future once they can tie into some more APIs to link your account. Until then it’s simply an interesting new app.
