The HTC U12+ will be announced on May 23rd, but if you can’t wait that long to see it, or find out what’s inside it then Evan Blass has your back tweeting out some gorgeous looking renders and a full spec list.

The pair of tweets include renders of the phone in three colours, as well as a three page spec sheet.

The renders possibly don’t do the phone justice with HTC again using their beautiful liquid surface finish on the U12+ according to the specs sheets. The renders show a phone with a dual-camera setup on the rear above a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, with volume rocker and power buttons on the right hand side of the phone.

The spec sheet is three pages long in total, but the highlights include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM and options for either 64GB or 128GB of storage with microSD card support up to 2TB. The U12+ will feature a 6″ 2880×1440 resolution 18:9 Aspect Ratio display using SLCD6 technology. Powering it all will be a 3,500mAh battery.

The rear camera on the phone includes a 12MP sensor with 1.4µm pixel size behind an f/1.75 aperture lens and a 16MP sensor with 1.0µm pixel size behind an f/2.6 aperture that offers 1.85-2.0x optical zoom. The U12+ will also feature dual sensors with twin 8MP sensors behind f/2.0 aperture lenses.

The U12+ will feature BoomSound HiFi, as well as USonic earphones with noise cancellation. The renders for the phone show that the BoomSound implementation won’t feature front-facing speakers.

Software wise, the HTC U12+ will be running Android 8.0 Oreo, but has a rider in the spec sheet to say it will be getting Android P when released. The squeezable Active Edge function will get an update with new gestures including double tap to launch a one-handed mode (or go back), a hold for smart rotate or smart dim, as well as the usual launching of apps.

*But wait there’s more — our friends at Winfuture have managed to get their hands on some more great looking renders:

Through all the lead up to this launch, we’ve only seen information about a U12+, which doesn’t really make sense if there’s no U12 – but with a launch set for May 23rd, we don’t have long to wait to find out what’s going on.

    The 11+ looked better

    Oldmike

It looks ok , but it’s problem is there are already a lot of good premium phones on the market already , and some yet too come ,
And unless it has some cool wizz bang feature to get some serious exposure ,
it will just blend in with the sea of premium Android smart phones .

Is this a two years ago designed smartphone?
