When you buy a new phone, it’s likely you’re looking for a way to protect your (usually rather expensive) new device and a decent case is a good way to do it. If you’re not into the usual plain black cases then you may want to check out the Google Store for their new range of Artworks Cases for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 phones.
Google offers their custom cases with the option to put your own photo on it, or with a Google Map printed on the rear, or you can get an artistic design on the rear through the Artworks collection. The Google Cases have dropped the NFC button that used to come in their ‘Live’ cases, which we were never really impressed with, but these newer design cases are quite nice.
There’s a number of new collections on the Google Store accessory section including covers with artwork from Hebru Brantley and Heather Day, as well as collections called Textures, Hint of pink, Bold & bright, Beach escapes, Plant life, Animal Kingdom, Amazing Planet and Water & sky from Unsplash. You can also see cases with Watercolour art featuring designs found on from Google Arts and Culture, cases with ‘Space’ photos featuring scenes from Google Sky, Pixel & Petals from #TeamPixel on Instagram, Sports in action featuring stylised designs of selected sports and Collection by Google which features ‘Exclusive artworks from Google’s design studio’.
Google offers the cases in two form factors with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL coming in a dual-layer design, while the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have options for either the dual-layer design or a slim design. The dual-layer design will set you back $69, while the slim design is slightly cheaper at $59.
If you want to check out the range you should head over to the Australian Google Store to check them out.
