iwonder, a new streaming service dedicated to purely to current affairs and documentaries, has launched in Australia.
Available via web on desktop and mobile apps, the new service will include entertainment, sports, history, politics, science, technology, religion, music, movies, nature, war and also biographies programming. It’s free for 30 days, after which you’ll pay $6.99/month. Chromecast and AirPlay are also supported for getting content onto your TV.
The service will see content that curated to reflect current events integrated into its homepage and apps, alongside relevant documentaries.
James Bridges, co-founder and CEO, said in a statement to Mumbrella:
“High-quality, engaging stories that give much deeper context into what is happening in the world today will be the bedrock of our service. For example, when students around the world continue to take to the streets to demand a response from world leaders on climate change later this month, iwonder will respond by featuring the news on our home page and pairing content which delves deeper into surrounding issues on climate, politics and activism,”
