One of the big advantages Samsung and Apple have over their competitors is the after-sales service they can offer to customers through their stores and pop-up experience centres. OPPO is looking to offer something similar for their customers with the opening of a new customer service centre in Melbourne.

The new service centre, located at 459 Collins Street, Level 11 on the South Tower in Melbourne, is the second of its kind in Australia and will offer walk-in and send-in services along with accessories to purchase. For the case of walk-in service requests the repairs will be attempted to be done within an hour. Customers can also use the online booking system to book a time for the repairs to their device to save time.

As well as repairs the centre will offer accessories to purchase — because non-Samsung and non-Apple accessories are notoriously difficult to find — and “free screen replacements for a limited time” to walk-in customers. The repair service extends to out of warranty devices as well with customers only being required to pay for the replacement parts — labour is free of charge.

We know that being without your smartphone can be frustrating, so the new centre is all about delivering speed and convenience to customers. Our team of on-site engineers can make most repairs on the spot and within an hourMichael Tran, MD OPPO Australia

At the OPPO Victorian Customer Service Centre customers (and browsers) will be able to also check out the latest OPPO devices with the centre designed to be a one-stop shop for OPPO customers. It is great to see another brand extending into Australia more putting their weight behind their products and offering extensive customer service that has often been so lacking in Australia.
