We have seen rumours and leaks of the next instalment in the Moto Mod series of phones, the Moto Z4, appear but as yet we haven’t seen anything official from Motorola. today it seems Amazon were a bit quick off the mark and accidentally made the page for it live.

Not long after publishing the page for the Moto Z4 it was pulled down, but after firing up the wayback machine Android Police were able to find the web page. Before the page was pulled there were two pages for the Moto Z4, one an Amazon-exclusive model that arrives with Alexa and other bloatware pre-installed and the other an unlocked model with a free 360-degree camera Moto Mod. Both phones /packages were listed at US$499.99 which is strange and the price for the Moto Z4/Moto Mod bundle is expected to be higher once the phone is actually announced.

The page was not found and unpublished by Amazon straight away and one user was actually able to order it and provide a quick review and some sample shots on Reddit.

The specs for the Z4 are there on the website for all to see, no longer requiring rumours and speculation. It will arrive sporting a Snapdragon 675 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage — there is a microSD slot to expand the memory.

The display is a 6.4-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio. The inbuilt cameras will be a rear 48MP sensor with 12MP output using Quad Pixel technology and a selfie camera of 25 MP high-res selfie camera. Running Android 9.0 Pie it is powered by a 3,600 mAh battery and will most likely support Qualcomm Quick Charge.

Of course it is unknown when these phones will be officially announced and available for purchase but you would expect it to be soon with Amazon obviously having the webpages ready to go.

We expect it to land in Australia around the same time as the US so keep your eyes peeled in these parts if you are interested in picking up one for yourself.

I hope they’ll accompany this with a refresh of the Hasselblad camera mod

Dagnabbit, and I *literally* just opened my new Pixel 3 last night after umming and ahhing if I would keep it or flip it, when the Z4 is what I’ve been waiting for…

Probably isn’t far away from an actual (announcement and then) release then I guess

Amazing that Motorola’s ‘Flagship” only has 6xx series chip.

Motorola need to break the Snapdragon 700 series barrier. The Snapdragon 675 just isn’t enough of a jump. I’ll be upgrading my Moto G5 Plus (Snapdragon 625) soon but it will be to a phone with a Snapdragon 710 or higher.
