Given the huge advancements of mobile technology, it’s hardly surprising that the war has moved away in part from screens, specs and battery life and into the accessories arena. Office workers, commuters and travellers all look for that escape from the daily grind, people and noise in general and, with that in mind, Jabra has released the Elite 85h over-ear headphones.

Including some very intelligent capabilities to detect your environment and adjust the noise cancelling to suit, the Jabra Elite 85h definitely earn the tag of elite. There’s a significant list of other features as well including up to 36 hours of battery life with noise cancelling (41 without) which for many users would be a full week of use, charging only on the weekend.

The array of microphones – 8 in total – work together to give you the best in-call experience as well as giving the headphones the ability to adjust noise cancelling to your environment far more effectively and dynamically.

The headphones are deliver a huge range of sound through the 40mm speakers which you can tweak to your sound preferences through the Jabra Sound+ app. They’re available in Titanium Black, Gold Beige and Navy in an IP52 rated body and backed up by a 2-year warranty.

But wait, there’s more!

What’s got my motor running on these is the one-touch Assistant button that hooks into Google Assistant, Alexa or Siri. The team at Jabra have really covered their bases well there.

JB Hi-Fi will be stocking Jabra’s new headphones, along with online purchasing options for an AU RRP of $499 which is pretty reasonable given the specs on offer.
