With the Made by Google event coming up in just a few short days the leak train continues this time with the incoming Chrome OS powered Pixelbook Go leaking in a full hands-on, props to the team from 9to5 Google for getting such a detailed hands on. First up, there ‘s no big surprises here from the previous leaks but this a very details look.
Inside the Pixelbook Go is packing:
-
- Intel Core m3, i5, or i7
- 8GB or 16GB of system RAM
- 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of internal storage
- 13.3-inch, 16:9 FHD or 4K touch screen display
- Titan C security chip
- Two USB-C ports and a
- 3.5mm headphone jack
It will ship in two colours Just Black and Not Pink to match the colours of the Pixel 4 range of devices. As you can see from the images the Pixelbook Go was a soft rubber back whihc apparently provides a very ‘grippy’ surface. What 2019 Google device would be complete with out a pair of far-field mics for Google Assistant integration? What you won’t find is an LTE connection, Fingerprint sensor or facial recognition.
The design of the Pixelbook Go is certainly a departure from the utilitarian look and feel of the original Pixelbook products, but more in keeping with Google’s modern design and styling. We’re unsure if the PixelBook Go will launch in Australia or even make it’s way here. With Google Supporting Australia a little more with both their hardware and Chrome OS devices it could go either way.
