One of the best things about owning a Google Pixel device is the security patches that arrive every month, allowing you to sleep well knowing that your phone is always up to date with the latest security patches. This month Google have brought a long list of fixes and improvements to their June security update.
The June security patch is arriving alongside the third feature drop and brings with a raft of improvements. The patches are arriving for all Pixel smartphones from the Pixel 2 through to the Pixel 4.
Improvements include Bluetooth fixes that will enhance pairing and improve audio over Bluetooth. The lockscreen also receives some love with the bug where the network indicator “went missing” is now fixed along with the wallpaper being reset to the device default. Now Playing will no longer be cut off on the always-on display.
There are far too many fixes to list them all individually so check out the list below for what to expect on your Pixel smartphone today:
For those installing the update manually yourself using fastboot commands make sure you grab the correct update — there are specific updates for Telstra Pixel phones. If you do want ot update it yourself you can grab the full factory image here and the OTA package here.
More details on the Pixel security fixes can be found on the Pixel Update Bulletin page as well as the Android Security Bulletin website.
