Yesterday we learnt about Cast Connect, a new SDK that will allow developers to better integrate improved control of Google Cast streams on Google TV’s — you can check out all the details here. Today Google officially launched the SDK and dropped that Stan will be amongst the first apps to implement the feature.
For users of the Stan mobile/ tablet app when you cast to an Android TV device you should soon have full remote control support as well as better syncing back to your casting device. This should make both the TV and the switching experiences greatly enhanced.
It’s not often we get included in a Google launch early, let alone have an Australian company part of the launch itself. Unfortunately for many of us we don’t actually have Stan subscriptions, but for those who do let us know if your casting experience is improved — you may need an app update first!
