Yesterday we reported on a rumour that the OnePlus 8T would be officially launched on October 14. Today we have confirmation of that date from OnePlus themselves.

Through their various social media channels OnePlus have released their event teaser video along with the tag “#UltraStopsAtNothing”. The hashtag is a strange one — are they referring to ultra performance given the focus on gaming in the released video? Or is there going to be an Ultra version of the OnePlus 8T? Or is the OnePlus 8T simply moving into the ultra-premium smartphone bracket (along with an associated price)?

Rumours are pointing towards the OnePlus 8T becoming even closer and possibly overtaking the OnePlus 8 Pro in specs and performance. It is rumoured to contain a Snapdragon 865+ chipset, a new rear camera module — with what you would expect would be upgraded lenses, a 120Hz flat panel display and possibly 65W fast charging.

With only a few weeks until the launch date you can be sure this won’t be the last we see of the OnePlus 8T before then — either officially or unofficially. Stay tuned for more information.
