Not long ago we reviewed the ECOVACS Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI robot vacuum and were extremely impressed with it. One thing we jokingly bemoaned about, aside from its inability to grow/manufacture legs and go upstairs by itself, was its ability to empty itself. It seems that now it can (not grow legs but empty itself).

Alongside announcing a slightly cheaper version of their OZMO T8 AIVI — no longer with AIVI — they have announced an Auto Empty Station as part of the new package. The new vacuum still promises three hours of battery life, laser mapping and navigation technology (TrueMapping) and mopping capabilities. The new T8 is available by itself for $999 from Amazon AU and eBay or as part of a package with the Auto Empty Station called the T8+ package for $1,299.

This month it is three years since ECOVACS launched into Australia and are now one of the best selling robot vacuums on the market offering some innovative features to make life easier. The new Auto Empty Station does just that by providing over 30 days of “hands-free cleaning” by emptying the T8 or T8 AIVI automatically. The station houses a bag inside which will need to be replaced oncer full but the app will alert users when this needs to be done (it’s probably too much to ask it to take the rubbish out to the bin itself right?).

The new Auto Empty Station is available as part of a package with the Deebot OZMO T8 for $1299 or by itself as an accessory for the T8 and T8 AIVI for $399 from JB Hi-Fi and Godfreys. Alongside this ECOVACS are also making their OZMO Pro Oscillating Mopping System for the T8 and T8 AIVI available as a separate accessory in November from Amazon AU and eBay as well.

If you are in the market for a new robot vacuum then we can definitely say that the ECOVACS offerings are some of, if not the best on the market. Now with these new features they are made an even more attractive purchase so go and check them out before parting with your hard-earned.
