Hertz Australia and Evie Networks have announced that customers who rent a Polestar 2 through Hertz will get free charging on the Evie Public network during their rentals until 27/10/22.
The move follows the recent announcement of Polestar 2 electric vehicles now being available to book across Hertz’s Australian fleet.
Travellers or otherwise EV-curious readers can book a Polestar 2 from various Hertz locations including: Adelaide, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Hobart, and Launceston.
Evie Networks aim to offer fast and ultra-fast electric vehicle charging stations across Australia, with 24/7 availability for a smooth charging experience.

Publicly available charging infrastructure is key to the uptake of electric vehicles and Evie aims to build the largest fast charging network in the nation.

Hertz Australia customers get a Evie and Chargefox tag when hiring a Polestar 2 to enable ease of charging on both networks without needing to use a personal card for payment.
Regarding pricing, there is no special Hertz rate when using Evie & Chargefox chargers, just the standard advertised rate by each charging network (apart from this free Evie use period until 27/10/22).
Hertz electric car hire customers will be charged for their electricity consumption after the hire period of the vehicle (similarly to being charged for tolls etc).
