We’ve been fortunate enough to take a look at a lot of security equipment at Ausdroid. One brand that has continued to impress with their bang for buck offerings is Reolink. The latest addition to their product range is the Lumus, a motion-activated spotlight camera.
The Lumus has a similar feature set to the Swann Spotlight Camera we recently reviewed, costing roughly half as much at US$62.99
Colin Lau, Reolink’s CEO said
We learn that break-ins or thefts occur most often at night. Homeowners not only want to record the crim but stop it. We hear from our customers and launch a new lineup of IP cameras – security camera with spotlight.
The feature set is in line with other security camera options currently available on the market.
- 1080p streaming and recording quality
- Wi-Fi connection for remote access, push notifications and cloud recording
- Configurable motion detection and recording options
- Colour night vision
Where the Lumus differs from the other Reolink camera’s we’ve trialled is that – like the Swann Spotlight camera – it’s mains powered. There are pros and cons to powered vs battery. That’s a decision users need to make. Personally I have and like, a mix of both.
The Lumus is not yet showing as available, but you can check out further details and request a notification when it is available on the Australian Reolink store.
