Back in 2018, we took a look at the original Sensibo Sky Controller, a great way to make your AC smart and save money. As time goes on, though, users’ wants and expectations of smart devices have increased. It’s with that in mind that the Sensibo AirQ has been born, a smart AC controller with a built-in air quality monitor.
What this means for users is that you can manually or automatically (climate react mode) manage your home or office environment. You can set timers to turn your AC on and off and, with a subscription, get access to useful reminders to clean your air filters and protect from mould. Importantly though, with the AirQ, you’ve got active monitoring of the air quality on your premises:
Indoor air can be up to 5x more polluted than outdoor air. With the Sensibo AirQ, you can manage your home’s climate and monitor indoor air quality, control your AC from your phone, save money on energy bills, breathe safer air and increase indoor comfort.
While using the AirQ, users will be notified when TVOC (total volatile organic compounds) levels are rising. These are often everyday items from your home, such as:
- Hair spray
- Surface cleaners
- Paints
- Newly installed cabinets and carpets due to lacquer and glues
The AirQ is compatible with any remote-controlled aircon and can be linked to Alexa, Assistant or Apple Homekit. It’s available via the Sensibo or Amazon Websites now for AU$219.00 per unit.
