Bose announced that their QuietControl 30 (QC30) headphones are also coming to Australia with a retail price of $399, but won’t actually be available until mid-September. The QC30 headphones are in-ear headphones attached to a sleek neckband, in a style that’s becoming quite familiar with high-end in-ear sports earphones.

The QC30’s connect to your device via Bluetooth with a new advanced controllable noise cancellation included, using the integrated six microphones. With this new noise cancellation, the QC30s allow you to turn noise cancellation up or down to adjust to your surroundings without the requirement to simply have it off or on. This option lets you walk along a street and still hear what’s going on around you – safety first, instead of just turning up the volume.

The QC30 earphones include a lithium ion battery which will last up to 10 hours on a single charge – or pretty much as long as your tablet or phone will last.

The Quiet Control 30s also include the new StayHear+ tips in small, medium and large sizes.

Bose SoundSport Wireless

If the neckband on the Quiet Control 30 looks a little bulky, the SoundSport Wireless are probably more your style. The SoundSport Wireless are also Bluetooth and are now available in Australia for $299.

The SoundSport Wireless are the base end headphones in the range, offering a comfortable in-ear experience thanks to the StayHear+ tips included. They come in three sizes – small, medium and large – and are made of soft flexible silicone to ensure you can wear them comfortably for a complete workout or through their 6 hour battery life.

The earphones are sweat and water resistant making for a great set of workout earphones. The SoundSport Wireless also includes an inline mic and a remote so you can adjust volume, skip songs and of course take a call while using them.

Bose will be releasing the SoundSport Wireless in Blue and Black initially with a Citron coloured option arriving in September.

Bose SoundSport Pulse

The Bose SoundSport Pulse are similar to the SoundSport Wireless with the same comfortable in-ear StayHear+ tips in sizes as well as the comfortable silicone tips. Their differentiating feature is that they include a built-in heart rate monitor that Bose says has the same precision of a chest strap. The Pulse function will also integrate with a range of fitness apps such as Runkeeper, Endomondo and more.

With the addition of heart rate monitoring the SoundSport Pulse has a slightly shorter battery life than the SoundSport Wireless, with a 5 hour battery life which will still last a fairly decent workout.

The SoundSport Pulse will be arriving in Australia in mid-September in the red colour you see above with the Quiet Control 30 headphones for $249.

We’ll be checking out the QC35s shortly and looking at the rest of the range as they arrive in Australia, the Bose range are available through the Bose online store and through the usual Bose retailers.
