USB-C chargers are still fairly rare, even with more phone supporting the standard. Google has long had wall chargers for sale on the Google Store, but has now added a USB-C Car charger made by accessory maker Belkin to the site.

The charger (it’s a Belkin F7U006bt04-BLK) includes a hardwired 1.2 m cable with USB-C tip, as well as a USB-A port for plugging in other USB devices. Output includes up to 15 W on the USB Type-C and 5 W on the USB-A connection.

The charger will set you back $54.99, that’s a lot for a charger but it does sell for $49.99 on the Belkin Australia website where you’ll also have to pay $6.99 in shipping. The Google Store offers free shipping, if you’re willing to wait or you can pay $9 for slightly faster shipping, or $17 for really fast shipping:

  • Saver $0.00 – Estimated delivery: 4 – 7 October 2016
  • Standard $9.00 – Estimated delivery: 28 – 30 September 2016
  • International Priority $17.00 – Estimated delivery: 26 – 28 September 2016

If you’re in the right area you can of course wander in to a JB Hi-Fi and buy one off the shelf for $49.95 if you’re not willing to wait.

It’s decent looking charger, and it should be right to charge your Nexus (probably Pixel soon too) devices with no issues. If you’re really in to buying stuff from the Google Store you can grab one now.
