Nexus Player news is the popular subject this week in the lead up to launch in Australia this week – but if you don’t like Android TV then why not try out CyanogenMod on your new set top box? The CyanogenMod team have today enabled nightlies for the Nexus Player with the first build ready to download now.
The first build for the Nexus Player weighs in at 297.73MB and is based on Android 5.1.1 or as we know it in CyanogenMod language CM 12.1. These are nightly builds so your mileage may vary but it’s ready to flash right now. You can download the image from the CyanogenMod servers now, and if you find it all goes wrong – it’s a Nexus device so grab the Nexus Factory Image and flash it back to stock.
Download it now – and remember to grab the GApps package as well – and if you have a Nexus Player let us know what you think, if not, check it out when you pick up your Nexus Player on Tuesday.
