Casio WSD F10-970-80
Casio’s first Android Wear watch, the dual-display WSD-F10 Smart Outdoor Watch announced at CES in January, won’t be launched outside of the US and Japan.

The WSD-F10 launched in the US on the Google Store in March, as well as at Amazon, REI and the Casio online store for $500USD, but release beyond the US and Casio’s home market of Japan is unlikely. We’ve been attempting to track down local launch information through Casio’s Australian distributor here but have so far been unsuccessful, and this latest information explains why.

Speaking with Wareable.com a Casio spokesperson advised them :

At the moment there are only plans for the WSD-F10 to be stocked in the US and Japan, with no confirmed date for UK release.

The dual-display WSD-F10 offered users a full colour TFT LCD (320 x 300 px) display with rich Android Wear notifications, as well as a monochrome display for saving battery life, a big concern in the now growing Smart Watch market.

The watch had the looks, and was rugged to boot, with a military spec (MIL-STD810) rating included. We’re quite disappointed at this stage, but if the watch proves successful in other markets, perhaps Casio will look to other markets, including ours.
