Looking for a good deal on a classy Android Wear watch? The original LG Urbane is going for a song, comparatively, over on the Telstra eBay store, where you can have it delivered to your door for just $225 – that’s half the original RRP.
The watch itself is still a great buy due to the hardware still on par with newer devices like the Huawei Watch, ZenWatch 2 and most other Android Wear watches on the market. With a 320×320 resolution 1.3″ Plastic OLED display, the watch has a nice, easy to read screen. Under the hood, the usual Snapdragon 400 SoC, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage are all included, as is a 410mAh battery and of course Wi-Fi.
The watch comes with an IP67 rating on the stainless steel bodied watch, meaning you can spend up to a half hour at depths up to 1m with no issues.
Scott was quite taken with the original LG Urbane when he reviewed it in May last year, pointing to great battery life on the watch.
Telstra has the Silver model of the LG Urbane, which comes with a stylish black leather wrist band included in the price, so if you’re into the look of the Urbane, but haven’t had the money now is your chance. Head over to Telstra’s eBay store now to grab one before they’re gone.
I’m actually in the same boat. I too am looking for the original G watch replacement now that it’s been abandoned!
Could be a nice upgrade from my LG G Watch, although it’ll cost about 3 times the price (got it cheap from Harvey Norman when they were going for $88). Been looking for a replacement when they said it wouldn’t receive Android Wear 2.
Are there any good wireless charging watches available at the moment?
