With the official launch of Nougat we’ve been seeing devices enrolled in the Beta program start receiving Over The Air (OTA) updates to the full Nougat release. For everyone else, Google has just started posting Factory Images and OTA updates for their Nexus devices.
There’s only a few Factory Images released at this stage, with the Nexus Player, Nexus 9 (Wi-Fi) and Pixel C first off the mark. There’s also OTA updates for these three devices as well. The build for all three is NRD90M, with version 7.0.0 listed for all three as well.
Update:
Google has added the factory image for the Nexus 5X – 7.0.0 (NRD90M) just like the rest.
For developers, Google has posted Android 7.0 Binaries for the Nexus Player and Pixel C, though we’re sure that more will be inbound soon enough.
If you want to you can flash the image to your device, or wait for the OTA, or you can side-load that as well. If you want to grab the images, then head to the Nexus Factory Images page to get started.
Hopefully this means the Nexus 5X won’t be too far behind.
