I find it both fascinating and frustrating as we approach release dates for devices. The continual stream of leaks now seems as though it’s a deliberate marketing ploy as it strengthens closer to release. That aside, there’s a slew of new information about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 devices.
It seems that both the Tab S7 and S7+ share a lot of specs:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+
- 6 GB RAM
- 128 GB storage
- Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5 and a 5G option
- Quad speakers for media playback
- Multi-camera arrays and 4K video recording
- S-Pen is included in the box with a recessed storage on the tablets
In terms of the differences, let’s start with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7
The screen is a double-edged sword for the Tab S7, offering an 11 inch LCD running 2560 x 1600 pixels and a pixel density of 274ppi. Despite the step towards a — cost saving? — LCD versus AMOLED panel, it has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hertz. The battery is also smaller on the lesser model with a 7,040mAh battery onboard.
The Tab S7+ is said to have a 12.4″ AMOLED screen running 2800 x 1752 at 287 ppi. The battery on the S7+ is a significant difference with 10,090mAh of power.
We’ve seen a lot of leaks already and without a doubt, the Tab S7+ is Samsung taking aim at the iPad Pro. The questions are will the hardware hit the mark and is Android as a tablet operating system up to the challenge?
Woo hoo, a *big* android tablet! 🙂
The hardware will hit the mark for sure. Samsung always make great hardware. It’s their software that lets them down.
