Have you been waiting for the Huawei Android Wear Watch to come on sale? Wait no longer. Between now and June 20 you can grab the silver model with the Silver mesh band for $130 off from the Google Store. That brings the watch down to $519 including shipping and should ship in two days.
The Huawei Watch is one of the only devices on sale in Australia which supports the Android Wear 2.0 developer preview, which was announced at Google I/O last month. So if you want to be on the bleeding edge, or are developing Android Wear apps for the upcoming update, this is a pretty good deal.
After Google I/O there doesn’t seem to be any new hardware requirements in the horizon. Many of us are still hoping for NFC to be announced sometime soon, but to be honest this is beginning to feel more and more like wishful thinking.

Is this enough of a discount for you to grab a Huawei Watch? Let us know below.
I just wish it was slightly larger. I’m a big guy and it just looks tiny on my wrist. The Moto 360 (2nd gen) doesn’t look quite as good but is larger and I am very happy with it. Even with the bit on the bottom.
Here’s my question: Should I buy this? I’m worried that a W2 will turn up… Is it worth waiting?
Definitely a worry, but no rumours for a HW2 at the moment, but that could be because Huawei are awesome at springing surprise launches on us
Even at that price it’s crazy money for a device that doesn’t have GPS, and which reviews say is laggy with a so-so battery.
Not laggy at all and 1.5 – 2 day battery life. Long term user not a brief review. Worth every penny, the Huawei Watch is great.
