Christmas is a time of traditions and one tradition for many families is watching the Christmas in the Domain carols on TV. Carols in the Domain, sponsored by Woolworths airs this Sunday on Channel 7 and if you’re attending in person or watching from home, the Carols in the Domain 2016 Android app should help you enjoy your night.
Let’s start from the top, the app is far from pretty, it’s got some sort of older Gingerbread style design – there’s no FAB, drop shadowing or slide-out Nav drawer here, but it’s functional and it works.
The app lets you buy reserved seats if you want to attend in person, as well as info about things happening on the ground. The app also includes everything you could want in terms of information on who’s presenting or singing on the night.
Most importantly it includes lyrics for the carols so you can sing along – though there’s only a few listed in the app, hopefully an update will appear with some more before the show starts on Sunday night.
It’s 2016 so of course there’s options to ‘Share your Carols experience’ through social channels including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube. The Christmas Network who run Carols in the Domain also encourage you to include the #carolsdomain hashtag in your social interactions.
