It seems we missed something whilst at the opening of Androidland in Telstra’s main Melbourne store: the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. The tablet, running Android 3.2, is used as one of the many hands-on displays in Androidland. Telstra don’t sell the Galaxy Tab 7.7 so it’s interesting to see the device used in the display. We had heard from a fairly concrete source a few months ago that Telstra were looking into a next generation Galaxy Tab, leading us to believe that Telstra just might have something official to say about the device very soon.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is equipped with most of the specs you’d expect from Samsung’s tablet range:
- 1.4GHz Dual-Core CPU
- Android 3.2 w/ TouchWiz
- HSPA+ 21Mbit 850/900/1900/2100MHz
- 5100mAh Battery
- Wi-Fi Dual-Band
- 1GB RAM + 16/32/64 Internal
We’ve reached out to Telstra for any further information.
I feel like a little boy on xmas eve after seeing this. I have been waiting and wanting this since the rumors first popped up!
*Pinches myself* – its not a dream.
Bring it on!
Looks kinda dull for SAmoled HD. Maybe the brightness is turned down. Looks like the 7.7 though as the 7.0 Tab Plus has larger icons and a different AR.
Meh, Prime is where it’s at.
when it gets ICS. Honeycomb’s lack of polish saddens me.
Prime got no 3G though and no SAMOLED.
