Another “finally” moment may be soon upon us, making Google Keep a lot more functional. With the addition of text formatting that we’ve previously seen rumours of, but now it seems the evidence is mounting.
The team at 9to5Google has completed another APK teardown and found some interesting code snippets. The specific snippets pertain to only basic formatting for now, including:

This adds to their previous teardown about a month ago, showing bold, italic and underline options. According to their post, you’ll also have the option to show formatting controls and clear all formatting from notes.
As nice as it would be, we can’t yet offer a timeline on when the update may roll out. Keep your eyes peeled if you’re a Google Keep user; it could be very soon.
