There’s a fervour building for Lollipop now that it’s been announced, but when Nexus devices will receive the latest update hasn’t yet been announced. Google expects to drop updated Lollipop Developer preview images for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013) tomorrow, but when a full push of finallised OTA’s will begin to all the Nexus devices hasn’t been officially announced. But there’s always rumours.
Android Police is reporting they have two sources advising that the OTA updates for the Nexus 7 Wi-Fi model (2012 AND 2013) and Nexus 10, will begin pushing out on November 3rd. Why? because there’s no cellular radios inside and those take more time apparently.
Dates for the Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 3G/LTE (2012 AND 2013) models haven’t been even rumoured, with their sources simply saying they will arrive a bit after the November 3rd push.
Excuse us while we start hitting those ‘Check for Update’ buttons now though.
I really hope it makes my Nexus 7 2012 useable, as it’s a useless laggardly dog of a thing at the moment.
Awesome, cannot wait to get this for both my Nexus 7 2013 and Nexus 4!
Excellent, i will be in Nepal with no coverage then, by the time I get back it will be released, initial kinks ironed out and waiting for my return.
