Google’s ‘Be Together, Not the same’ line of ads for Android have made a splash around the world, with Google taking over Times Square in New York, as well as in the Tube system in London. Now they’ve started appearing in the rail stations in Sydney, with animated billboards in Town Hall station showing off the ads to commuters passing through.
The ads use the animated characters from the Google ‘Androidify‘ application, which allows you to create and animate your own bugdroid character with different hair styles, clothes and accessories before sharing them on the net. Google has even said that they may use these creations in future commercials.
You can see the video, which Jason took on his way through the station below, which as you can see is from Platform 2. Jason did however say that there’s a number of these animated billboards showing the ad all over the station, so if you’re in the area check them out :
They’re on trams in Melbourne too. And at Kew junction… sadly not animated.
